Hello there, welcome to ZAYA!
When our kids were tiny, we felt overwhelmed by everyone’s needs, fatigue and stuff …. and, needless to say, digging through yet another website of gaudy and/or overpriced children’ clothing right after bedtime proved less than invigorating.
Looking for something inspired by nature’s perfect simplicity, yet at the same time modern, minimal and stylish, we decided to give life to ZAYA - a boutique that would ideally be set in a field’s golden afternoon light, or in a deep, mossy forest. To no surprise it turned out to be online, yet our clothes names are reminiscent of all beautiful flowers and trees, hoping to bring a little magic of nature to your day. Importantly, all our shipments are 100% carbon neutral via Pachama’s reforestation efforts.
We, Orel and Linda, are friends who met while on a meditation retreat, away from the hustles of the world, and made ZAYA a boutique for parents by parents: a tastefully curated selection of brand-free, simple but stylish clothes arriving in basic packaging; keeping it affordable.
By bringing together our backgrounds in child psychology, online sales, motherhood, design and living in nature, we decided to create something for the material world, yet aiming to maintain a touch of the sublime. We believe mindfulness can be found in the sensory realisation of beauty, in both cloth and petal ~

Being a seeker at heart, both the inner and outer journey are the way.
From business administration and online stores to psychology and mindfulness, my dedication lies in understanding the human mind, and learning to actively work towards one’s personal and collective development. Masters Degrees in Child Psychology hold my framework for this quest of making the world a better place, whilst living in Jerusalem gives plenty of opportunity for legwork.
If you don’t find me studying psychology or on a meditation retreat, I enjoy the simple pleasures of friends, reading and venturing into nature...

Whilst being Swedish-Austrian, I lived and grew across continents, seeking the challenge, joy and depth of life in different cultures, and always in nature and art. Via a few degrees in Art, Design and Management, I always sought meaning in our human existence, worked for social justice and exhibited my art internationally. Yet since becoming a wife, a mother of two and living in Jerusalem, this quest for purpose has gotten a whole added dimension...
Between laundry and dishes I wish to savour the golden afternoon light, to dance, to sing, and let gardening, yoga and meditation keep everything in balance.
